Seray Pınar

Turkish mezzo-soprano Seray Pınar is a member of the Opéra national de Paris Lyric Troupe. Born in Türkiye, she began her musical training with the oboe before studying opera at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, graduating with highest honours. She continued her studies at the Accademia d'Arte Lirica in Ancona and worked with mezzo-soprano Ferda Yetişer; her early stage experience at the Ankara State Opera and Ballet included Lola in Cavalleria rusticana.

In 2022 she joined the Opéra national de Paris Academy. Her training also took her to the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artist Development Program in New York, the Rossini Opera Festival Academy in Pesaro, where she appeared as Marchesa Melibea in Il viaggio a Reims, and the Salzburg Festival Young Singers Project. In 2024 she won Third Prize at the Neue Stimmen International Singing Competition.

Recent engagements include Bersi in Andrea Chénier at the 2025 Salzburg Festival under Marco Armiliato, Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro at the Opéra national de Paris under Antonello Manacorda, and Stéphano in Gounod's Roméo et Juliette at the Polish National Opera in Warsaw in 2026. Upcoming engagements include Varvara in Janáček's Katia Kabanova at the Opéra national de Paris.
